Accessible to residents of more than 400 units, the facility consists of a pool, spa, fitness centre, sauna, steam shower, multi-purpose room and ancillary rooms.
The client commissioned Delage Architecture & Design to design a top-down renovation of the facility. To stretch the budget, the project is occurring in two strategic phases.
Our team selected durable and timeless finishes to minimize the need for future maintenance. We took advantage of plentiful natural light in some areas – the swimming pool, for instance – and updated others, such as a clinical-feeling spa, to make them more welcoming.
Multiple stakeholders added complexity to this project. These included the management company, plus all four stratas of the surrounding towers. Each party and individual had different goals and priorities, depending on their outlook and financial interests. Despite these challenges, our design delivered a workable compromise, bringing the facility into the modern era.
