Project Name: JML office and showroom

Location:Vancouver, BC

2019-2022

Client: JML Textiles

Scope : Architecture, Interior Design, FF&E

Status: Completed

JML Textile engaged Delage Architecture & Design to craft a new commercial space in the False Creek area of Vancouver. The space serves as the company’s showroom, with offices in the back for five full-time employees.

We knew excellent lighting would be key for the precise colour rendition required in this type of business. But a light, bright and visually serene space also enhances the day-to-day well-being of staff, and creates an appealing environment for clients. We selected a light colour palette to further brighten and harmonize the space.

The design showcases a high level of integration in a relatively small space. To create clear delineation between the showroom and work spaces, we deployed extensive millwork. A wood screen at the entrance sets off the office space and meeting room, while wood elements along flanking walls conceal a staff kitchenette, office equipment and ample storage.
